National Tile Museum
Created in 1980, the museum is located in the Convent of the Mother of God (XVI century), himself a magnificent example of using the tile decoration, such as the baroque church tiles. The museum brings together the most important examples of the national tiles, the fifteenth century to the present day. In the vast collection highlighting the tile panel exposed in the cloister which is a panoramic Lisbon before the 1755 earthquake.
Museum of carriages
Created by desire of Queen Amelia in 1905 is the most visited museum in Portugal and is located in the former Royal Riding School Building Belem Palace, houses the best collection of ceremonial vehicles of animal traction of a century old, including Coches, carriages, Prams, strollers, baby carriages, among others. The collection is completed with cavalry accessories, harness and oil portraits of the monarchs of the Bragança dynasty.
Ajuda National Palace
The escape of the royal family to Brazil between 1802 and 1820 was decisive for the discontinuance of the works, it is still the largest royal residence in Lisbon. In 1862, the palace is now the official residence of the monarch D. Luis and his wife Maria of Savoy. Inside are mentioning the Winter Garden, the Banquet Room and the Throne Room that is still used for official ceremonies of the President.
Queluz National Palace
The Queluz National Palace and its historical gardens are one of the most extraordinary examples of harmonious connection between landscape and palatial architecture in Portugal. Erected in 1747 by the future King Pedro III, consort of Queen Maria I, Queluz Palace was originally designed as a summer residence, becoming a privileged space for leisure and entertainment Royal Family, who lived in 1794 remain until departure for Brazil in 1807, following the French invasions.
