Itinerary Portugal Centre and North 3 Days


Day 1 – We leave the sunny city of Lisbon in the morning towards Fatima where we will find one of the largest centers of pilgrimage to the Virgin Mary in the world Catholic, the famous shrine of Fatima attracts about 6 million pilgrims each year visit the Basilica of our Lady, the Chapel of Apparitions, Holy Trinity Church and also the House of the Three shepherd children in Cova da Iria.

We follow then to Coimbra narrow streets, patios, stairways and medieval arches, Coimbra overlooking the river Mondego was the cradle of birth of six kings of Portugal and the First Dynasty, as well as the first university in the country and one of the oldest in the world and that the first record as a university happens in 1290.

Coimbra is a land of students but more than that, is a land of traditions where the past and the future intersect, has more charm at the time of farewell, our script say. Aveiro affectionately known as the “Portuguese Venice” is cut by water streets where colorful moliceiros boats gives the city a specific character. Day 2 – We start our 2nd day tour with a walk in the famous city of Porto, the second largest city in Portugal, along riverside becomes fascinating for its stunning river Douro, with its narrow streets, typical houses and picturesque population, after walking in the city time for a visit to Vila Nova de Gaia for tastings of an old port wine in the famous Douro cellars beside the river overlooking the Ribeira district, then we`ll go to the Douro Valley that it is a unique place where the climate conjunction, river, grapes and man`s effort gave rise to the first region marked World wines, the production of Port wine. picturesque setting of lush landscapes and lush nature, Douro invites all visitors to a temporary abstraction of reality, the end of the day return to the city of Porto.


Day 3 – We leave Porto towards to the city of Batalha where we will have the opportunity to visit the famous Dominican Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitoria masterpiece of Gothic architecture, a UNESCO world heritage site with special emphasis on their unfinished or imperfect chapels.

It follows Alcobaça city owns the Monastery founded in 1178 by the Cistercian Order, in giving vote of compliance made by D. Afonso Henriques when the conquest of Santarém from the Arabs.

The abbey is one of the most important medieval Cistercian temples, as it is the first entirely Gothic work in Portugal, its monumental façade has a wide range of styles: Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque World Heritage site by UNESCO.

Then we go to Nazareth to walk in the narrow streets, chat and photograph the “woman of the seven skirts,” eat fresh fish and go up to the sights of Perderneira and Sítio and then down to the beach in the centenary lift.

Gone are the days when there was no beach because of the sea insistence on advancing land within that`s why until the sixteenth century the Nazarenes lived in Perderneira and Sitio locations that together with the beach make the city of Nazareth.

Finally, we will go to the discovering of the beautiful and charming medieval town of Obidos surrounded by stately century XIV walls that make up a well-preserved castle, we will walk through its walls and landscapes of small streets and churches and the end of time to taste the Ginjinha of Obidos.
